DescriptionCopies of letter from Lewis A. Groff, Commissioner, General Land Office, to Secretary, Department of Interior, regarding tract of land for troops' garden purposes. Response to Captain. F. A. Boutelle's statement the War Department will declare one square mile of territory a military reservation. Suggests an immediate survey of the tract. Two typed copies of the three-page letter are included in this one document. There are also handwritten notes about another tract of land in YELL203479-D276a-h.
