DescriptionConstitutional Convention Delegate, Arlyne Reichert, Great Falls (b. 1926 in Buffalo, NY), has lived in Great Falls since 1945. At the ConCon she served on the Legislative Committee, being elected to the ConCon after having served as a legislative television reporter and having an unsuccessful run at the legislature in 1970. That loss enabled her to run for the ConCon as legislators and other elected officials could not serve. A super-volunteer and super-citizen, she served as a Cascade County Study Commissioner, the head of Preservation Cascade (which saved the 10th Avenue Bridge), a Library Trustee, Great Falls Public Radio Association, American Cancer Society, Montana Rhoades Scholarship Committee, National Civic League, Montana Comprehensive Health Council, US Civil Rights Commission Montana Advisory Committee, and the Montana Capitol Restoration Committee. She served one term in the Legislature from 1979-81. Arlyne worked for the McLaughlin Research Institute for 23 years. Arlyne was a major player in the League of Women Voters leading up to the ConCon.
