Letter from Frank Chatfield to John W. Noble requesting the return of articles taken from him when he was arrested in 1887, dated November 24, 1892.

DescriptionLetter from Frank Chatfield to John W. Noble, Secretary of the Interior, describing his arrest for having a bull elk scalp. Most of his possessions were confiscated by Capt. Harris. In 1890, he got word from F. A. Boutelle to come get his belongings. He could not claim them personally as required. He states Capt. Anderson's son is using his horse. He is writing the Secretary before pursuing legal advice.
