DescriptionThis video shows Sam Holbrook giving an interpretive talk at the Old Faithful Inn. Holbrook held the program on the balcony allowing the visitors to see Old Faithful in the background. Holbrook discusses the geology at work in the Upper Geyser Basin and then the causes for geysers and hot springs. Holbrook continues with discussing the history of Yellowstone by noting the indigenous groups living in the area, then talking about the expedition parties, then the Army, and finally the National Park Service. The history of the Old Faithful Inn is discussed along with some of the former buildings at Old Faithful. The video ends with a shot of Old Faithful erupting.
