DescriptionIn this video, Ranger Rick McIntyre leads a group of junior high school students and parents to the site of the Crystal Creek Wolf Reintroduction Pen. McIntyre starts the hike by discussing the history of wolves being exterminated in the park. He continues with the reintroduction project of the wolves in Yellowstone. McIntyre describes how wolves are important for the ecosystem in the area. This video was taken two years after the first reintroduction. McIntyre tells stories about the packs in the park. One story details a fight between the two packs the year prior. John Landrigan filmed the fight and overlaid some of the footage in this video. McIntyre tells the story of wolf 8 and a few others before ending the talk at the pen site.
