DescriptionE. J. “Gene” Martin enrolled in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), serving at the Lake Camp (YNP-3). In his interview, Martin recalls the layout of the camp, installing water mains, building a dock, digging ditches, and visiting Fishing Bridge and a trading post. Bears, a porcupine, and other wildlife are discussed.
