They signed up as part of the All Nations Culture Program, which was the youth program associated with the Helena Indian Alliance. They organized a float with kids dancing and also decided to parade in a convertible. Roberta Twoteeth and her mother Sharon Matt Twoteeth (Salish) ran the All Nations Store, in Helena. It later became the Feathers Trading Post.
