DescriptionLouise Ogemahgeshig-Fischer (Anishinaabe), traditional healer and artist sitting at the doorway of the sweatlodge at Fort Harrison in Helena after shoveling it out mid January, 2018. Louise has been doing sweatlodges and talking circle ceremonies for PTSD veterans and staff for the VA for 13 years as of 2024 and continues to do them. Sweat lodge ceremonies are considered one of the most powerful healing ceremonies in the world. That day the lodge to be dug out before the ceremony could begin.
