DescriptionThe letter from the Acting Secretary of the Interior, Thomas Ryan, to the Acting Superintendent of Yellowstone, John Pitcher, granted the park the authority to spend $100 for the purposes of apprehending and convicting a group of men that killed elk inside the park. Ryan added that an amount of $9).62 should be paid out for the freight cost of delivering Pitcher's office furnishings by the northern Pacific Railroad Company.
