DescriptionThe Twin Lakes, only a few hundred yards apart, are in the Anaconda Range. Paralleling the access road is a flume, built in 1901 to bring water to Silver Lake. The flume eventually became part of the Butte Water Company’s system that collected water from Storm Lake, Twin Lakes, and Georgetown Lake for use in the ore reduction operations of the Anaconda Company.Contributing InstitutionMontana Historical Society Library and ArchivesGeolocation[1] Elevation7630 ft.CountyDeer Lodge County
