DescriptionToday a ghost town on Boulder Creek, Princeton, formally established in 1880, was named for miner Dick Prince, who had prospected in the area since 1868. The Nonpareil Mine, developed at Princeton by a French company in the 1880s, was followed by several other silver, gold, and lead mines. Mining dwindled through the 1920s and ’30s and ceased altogether about 1942.
