Text below the image reads: "The second Canyon Hotel in Yellowstone National Park was constructed in 1890 on the site of the present (1956) Canyon Hotel. Guests were transported in 8-passenger and 11-passenger four-horse concord stagecoaches and in 2-horse surreys until 1917, when horse-drawn vehicles were replaced by motor buses.
