In 1884, it was reported that Joseph Zimmerman had moved into the Horr brick building after block 110 downtown had a big fire -- See 'Fire Flashes', Billings Gazette, July 31, 1884. His store was on Montana Avenue. Joseph Zimmerman, the 'pioneer merchant,' and Nettie M. Graves were united in marriage mid-March of 1896.
