DescriptionThis Northern Pacific Railroad depot was located on the north side of the tracks at North 28th (Broadway) and Montana Avenue from 1893 through 1909. The new Union Depot, which can be seen in the background, on Montana Avenue opened in 1909 - See 'Union Depot is Completed', Billings Gazette, March 14, 1909. The Depot on North 28th was torn down and North and South Broadway were connected soon after the opening of the new Union Depot .
