DescriptionThe Bailey and Billings Bank (Bank of Billings) formed by Parmly Billings and his cousin, Edward Bailey, in 1886. Yellowstone National Bank formed from the Bank of Billings in 1891. A.L Babcock was president of Yellowstone National Bank in early 1900s. In 1920, YNB promoted itself as the oldest bank in Yellowstone County. On June 27, 1921, The Yellowstone National Bank and The Merchants National Bank merged to become the third largest bank in the state at that time and soon was renamed The Midland National Bank.
